The Euronics group achieved European sales of € 14.1 billion in 2009, a small decrease of 2% compared to 2008. The company considers this to represent excellent performance against the background of challenging economic conditions in which sales in the market as a whole decreased by about 10%.
Euronics is confirmed Europe’s second largest retailer of consumer electronics. Euronics has consistently outperformed the market in this respect for the last six years.
Euronics currently operates more than 11,000 stores in 29 countries in Europe.
Member companies and employee numbers: 6,400 independent business owners cooperate worldwide as EURONICS International, together employing more than 50,000 staff.
