Innovation and market potential are the most important criteria for the jury of the annual EURONICS International Trend Awards. At the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) in Berlin, Samsung, HP, AEG, and Bosch were honoured in four different categories during the traditional currywurst event held at the EURONICS stand which was attended as always by representatives of all major international manufacturers including from JBL, LG, Miele, Siemens, and Sony.
In the area of ‘Consumer Electronics/TV’, Samsung was recognised for its SUHD premium model UE88KS9890. In the category ‘IT’, HP received the honour for its ultra-thin Notebook, HP spectre. In the ‘Major Domestic Appliances’ segment, the prize went to AEG for its dishwasher FSE62800P, and in ‘Small Domestic Appliances’ the award was presented to Bosch for its cooking machine Autocook MUC88B68DE. "As Europe’s leading consumer electronics retail group we know which products are preferred by the consumers", says Hans Carpels, President of EURONICS International. "These four awarded products set a high standard and will succeed in the market." A panel of four international experts, members of the EURONICS International Board of Directors, presented the EURONICS Trend Award to manufacturers in the four different categories.
