As a result of the global Covid-19 pandemic which has affected business operations worldwide since March 2020, EURONICS chose to replace its usual international event held in July with a virtual and interactive event scheduled at the end of the year. In doing so the Group can better reflect on their successful approach to the pandemic and plan the most effective strategy for the year ahead. The virtual event is attended by senior representatives from international suppliers and group members from over 40 countries across the globe.
EURONICS places strong emphasis on recognising supplier performance excellence through their prestigious Supplier of the Year Award. This is awarded annually in four traditional product categories to suppliers who in EURONICS’ view have demonstrated distinguished performance in delivering innovation, superior quality, and outstanding service to consumers.
In 2020 a further two categories have been added, recognising the growing expansion of business functions to include data exchange and digital partnership with our key international partners.
Suppliers were nominated across all categories by the 26 EURONICS Group Members after which a short list, and eventual winners, were chosen based on quantitative analysis and input from a team representing all areas of the global organisation.
The following winners received the 2020 award at home in time for the virtual presentation by Mr Hans Carpels, President EURONICS GEIE, and Mr John Olsen, Managing Director EURONICS International.
