Euronics Group is proud to announce a new international partnership with Repair Café International, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability, circularity and extending the lifespan of consumer electronics.
As the largest European retail group for consumer electronics, Euronics brings together independent retailers in numerous countries. This strong local presence enables Euronics to actively support repair initiatives within local communities across Europe and beyond.
“At Euronics, we believe that repair is an essential pillar of a sustainable future,” says John Olsen, CEO of Euronics International. “With our extensive network of local stores and professional repair technicians, we are in a strong position to support Repair Café initiatives in many countries. This partnership perfectly aligns with our ambition: together, we want to make repair more accessible, share expertise and actively promote a culture of repair within local communities and to help our consumers — across Europe and beyond.”
Repair Café International: A Global Network for Repair
Repair Café International is the global organisation behind thousands of local Repair Cafés worldwide. It supports and coordinates this growing international network by providing guidance, tools, communication platforms and advocacy at European and global level. Repair Café International’s mission is to reduce waste, preserve repair skills and empower communities by making repair more accessible, visible and valued — contributing to a more circular and sustainable economy.

Supporting Repair Cafés Through Knowledge, People and Resources
The partnership with Repair Café International consists of several concrete initiatives. Euronics will encourage its members to support local Repair Cafés in their cities and towns, for example by sharing technical knowledge, providing tools or space, or by involving store staff and professional repair technicians.
In addition, Euronics aims to support specific international projects led by Repair Café International and explore opportunities to share repair expertise on a broader scale. Many Euronics members employ their own in‑house repair specialists, whose experience can be highly valuable for volunteer repairers active within the Repair Café network.
As part of the partnership, Euronics Group will support Repair Café International with a three year financial contribution, underlining its long-term commitment to repair and sustainability.

A Timely Partnership in the Context of the Right to Repair
This partnership comes at a particularly relevant moment. In 2026, national “right to repair” legislation will come into force across all EU Member States, following the adoption of the European Right to Repair Directive in 2024. These new laws are designed to ensure that consumers are better informed about repair options and are encouraged to choose repair over replacement.
“Retailers have a key role to play in making the right to repair a reality,” says Martine Postma, founder of Repair Café International. “They are an important link in informing consumers about repair possibilities and supporting them in maintaining and repairing their products.”
Martine welcomes the collaboration with Euronics:
“With this partnership, Euronics clearly demonstrates that it takes repair seriously and wants to take a leading role in promoting repair — not only in Europe, but worldwide. That is very good news, because globally we need to repair much more, and much more often.”
